Release notes: UBOS update 2026-06-08

Release overview

• Nextcloud and many of its apps. We are now at Nextcloud 33 and have caught up with Nextcloud releases.

To upgrade

To be safe, first check the status of your Device:

• sudo ubos-admin status

and make sure everything is in working order. Then create a backup of all your sites, with a command such as:

• sudo ubos-admin backup --all --backuptodirectory ~

Then, update your device:

• sudo ubos-admin update -v

Depending on what apps you have installed and how much data they manage, and the speed of your disk and network, the upgrade can take a while.

Known issues

During a Nextcloud upgrade with ubos-admin update, under some circumstances, there may be a long output that includes the line:

- ERROR: An exception occurred while executing a query: SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'acl_default_no_permission' in 'SELECT'

This appears to be harmless.
